Denise P. Halloran, nee Clodfelter, 56.  Beloved wife of Jack “John” Halloran.  Loving mother of Kelly (John) Ott, Kevin (Jazlynn) Halloran,  Kenny (Kelly) Halloran.  Devoted daughter of Paul and Paula Clodfelter.  Cherished sister of Karen (Mark) Blandford.  Fond sister-in-law of Marianne (Tom) Hocking.  Caring aunt of 6.

At 12:00pm yesterday (3-22-16), the Lord took my mom home.

No more tears or suffering or chemotherapy or wondering if she would ever be cured. She stands cured today in Christ’s presence, enjoying fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore.

Even though it’s been a hard past several months for my family, we have so much to be thankful for:

  • We are thankful for God’s special grace of giving her 3.5 years since her diagnosis of ovarian cancer in November of 2012.
  • We are thankful for not losing her last February—just months before my wedding and my brother’s wedding. We considered it a miracle that she was able to attend both.
  • We are thankful for so many people blessing us through prayers, meals, encouraging notes, visits, and a thousand other things. There are too many people to thank. We truly felt the love and embrace of God through His people helping us.
  • We are thankful that we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We thank God for sending Jesus Christ to the world to be the sacrifice for our sins so we can be forgiven, welcomed into His family, and not have to fear death.

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

“A Jesus who never wept could never wipe away my tears.”
